I’ve been teaching women and men to steam their pelvic flours since 2015. The art and wellness practice its-self is several 100’s if not 1000’s of years old and seems to be mainly a woman’s business practice but men can certainly steam. It’s an ancient practice that would have been passed down orally from woman to woman, as it was about woman’s private parts and personal wellness. For myself steaming has become a part of life and not something I would want to live without. It helps me sleep and relax when feeling overwhelmed and stressed and yes, I do believe it aids my menstrual health.
Though none of the below wellness claims are scientifically proven yet, steaming is used by clinicians (Arvigo Therapy® practitioners to name a few) and ancient practice healers around the world. Here is a short list of what vaginal steaming is considered helpful for:
Here is a short video on how to set up a steam chair for personal use only: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnNjuLcT_w8&feature=youtu.be
In New Zealand, I’ve presented on pelvic steaming at the Luminate Festival, Prana (no longer happening) and as private clinic workshops in and around Wellington, City. I’ve also presented on pelvic steaming in the United States and in Australia.
If you’d like to know more about how to set up a steam, safety, a list of safe plants and herbs to use, and when you might steam, you can order my ebook here on sale until the end of April to celebrate this ebook launch!

Women, do you or your daughters suffer from intense menstrual discomfort such as debilitating pains, headaches, backaches or worse? This is not normal, contrary to what may be said by the medical establishment or general public.
The period is referred to as the “little curse” but it doesn’t have to be. Old cultures like the ancient Maya and Chinese knew this was a clear sign from the body that things were not as healthy as they could be. The Maya people developed abdominal massage to clear out congestion and stagnation in the area and to gently reposition the uterus. The uterus sometimes causes bodily discomforts, especially around menstruation time, by leaning on blood vessels, nerves, or even surrounding organs.
Arvigo® Therapy is gentle, external, and takes the best of the traditional Maya belly massage and combines it with modern techniques, to create a thorough, unique belly, womb and hip care program. For many women, a few sessions (2 to 4) is enough to correct most ‘bad’ period pains and discomforts. Each session is catered to each unique woman’s needs and each woman is taught a home care version of the belly massage so she can care for her own belly and womb. The work is equally beneficial for fertility, improved digestion and general well being. Arvigo® Therapy compliments well reproductive assisted technologies too such as IVF.
Belly and womb care is essential for the young and the more seasoned woman alike, as it makes for healthier periods, digestion and later years. It improves conception ability, birthing with more ease and aids menopausal pains.

Do you suffer from headaches just before or during your period? If so Body Care Place™ can help with a simple, non-invasive belly and lower back Arvigo® Therapy session.
Perhaps this sounds funny but many menstrual headaches start in the belly and lower back from too much tension, past falls (or recent falls) and not having the womb in its proper place.
The womb is a small organ (between 4 to 8 oz in weight) but its strong and sturdy and when it shifts around in the belly, it can cause mischief by sitting on surrounding organs, blood vessels or nerves.
Elizabeth has spent the last 3.5 years totally dedicated to the study of Arvigo Therapy® and other belly, hip and lower back bodywork modalities. Currently, Elizabeth has a 100% success rate in eradicating or dramatically reducing the frequency and intensity of menstrual related headaches. Elizabeth has been a bodyworker for over 12 years and is a level 1 teacher of Arvigo Therapy®.
Additionally, Arvigo Therapy®, helps to ease or eliminate menstrual cramps, bloating and lower back pain. The body work is also good for improved digestion, improved fertility, and can help in the reduction and prevention of abdominal adhesions.
Abdominal adhesions are often caused by abdominal surgeries, digestive upsets, parasites, accidents, allergies, and/or past or present illness (such as endometriosis or IBS).
